Bichon

The Bichon Frise dates back to the fifteenth century. The Bichon Frise is from 9-12 inches tall and weighs 9-16 lbs. It's hair is long, fine and silky. It needs clipping, either a poodle clip or whatever pleases you. The Bichon's ears are are hanging and it has a scissors bite.

The Bichon is a very lively little dog, with a strong personality. It is great with children and other pets. Sometimes people with small dogs tend to let them take over, but you must show the Bichon that you are the leader of the pack. The Bichon should be walked daily.

The artist, Goya, used the Bichon Frise in several of his paintings. As old as this breed is, it is still very popular as a companion dog.
